MSME sector flourishing in Bangla

In the last 8 years, Bangla has been scaling new heights in the MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) sector. 95 new small scale industry clusters have been taken up in the previous fiscal year, taking the total number of clusters to 520 from 425.
With constant push from the State Government, the number of MSMEs has grown from 36.64 lakh in 2011 to now more than 90 lakh. Due to the massive increase in the number of MSME units, the total capital investment in MSMEs in 2017-18 now stands more than Rs 55,000 crore.
In 2018-19 bank credit flow to the MSME sector achieved Rs 20,287 crore during April-September, 2018 registering a 13 % growth on Y-O-Y basis over the same period in FY 2017-18.
