Kolkata, September 22: Ms. Mamata Banerjee on Thursday began her second leg of campaigning for the Bhawanipur constituency consisting of wards – 63, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 77 and 82. People thronged the streets and stood on both sides of the road just to have a glimpse of their favourite `Didi`.
Ms. Mamata Banerjee took part in the a road show which began from Sambhunath Pandit Road and traveled through the lanes and by lanes of Rup Narayan Mukherjee Lane, Shakharipara, Harish Chatterjee Street, Kalighat, Gopalnagar and Chetla before culminating at Chetla Central Park. `I have come to you. I am overwhelmed by the love and admiration you have showed for me and Trinamool Congress party. I have already solved the employment issue to a large extent and am sure I will be able to create more vacancy`, said Ms. Mamata Banerjee who instead of asking for votes preferred to make it more personal and was trying to interact more and more with the people. `Kemon achen apnara, apnara bhaalo to?` (How are you all, I am you are keeping fine). `I too shall always maintain my commitments as I am a person of words and never make commitments which I can’t keep but I request you to give some time`, smiled Ms. Banerjee who seemed to be enjoying the moment inspite of a hectic schedule. She was accompanied by party workers and leaders Subrata Bakshi, Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay, Firhad Hakim, Madan Mitra, Debosree Roy and others.
Later in the evening Ms. Mamata Banerjee attended a gathering as a part of her campaign rally at Kiderpore. The campaigning will end today at 5 pm when the model code of conduct will come into force. The election will take place on September 25.
