Mamata Banerjee is promoting Kanyashree, CPI(M) is promoting Banduk Shree: Abhishek Banerjee
Incidents of violence were reported from Amdanga in North 24 Parganas district during the formation of Panchayat boards. To restore peace in the region, Trinamool organised a peace vigil, at the end of which Abhishek Banerjee addressed workers and supporters in the area.
Highlights of his speech:
We have not come here to capture villages. We have accepted people’s verdict with full humility.
The Opposition makes tall claims. But in all 23 districts, people showered their votes on Trinamool. CPI(M), BJP and Congress united but could not defeat Mamata Banerjee.
The CPI(M) is trying to create an atmosphere of fear through violence in Amdanga. From Marxvaad (Marxism) they switched to Harmad, then unmad (mad) and now Jallad (killers).
We will defeat the violent tactics of CPI(M) and BJP and restore peace in Amdanga. We will bring Amdanga into the fold of development, started by Mamata Banerjee.
Mamata Banerjee believes in ‘change not revenge’. Had it been otherwise, most of these people would be languishing in jails for their crimes of 34 years. They cannot fight her politically.
I am taking charge of Amdanga from today. I know how to fight politically.
On one hand, Mamata Banerjee is promoting Kanyashree, Sikshashree, Ruproshree, and on the other hand, CPI(M) is promoting Banduk Shree.
Khudiram Bose is our inspiration. We will not allow politics of violence. Those who are making tall claims cannot fight politically on ground. People are not with them.
They fought the 2016 polls hand in hand with the Congress. Central forces were called in by the Election Commission. What was the result? They got zero.
People of this district blessed Trinamool and voted for us wholeheartedly in all three tiers of Panchayat system. They want to bring the bloodied days of violence back. We will not allow that. We do not believe in destructive politics. Trinamool stands for constructive politics.
If any CPI(M) or BJP worker is listening to me today, I want them to introspect. Let them show the conviction to look us in the eye in this fight. People participated in today’s vigil spontaneously. Can the Opposition claim even 10% of this love from people?
Mamata Banerjee restored peace in Bengal. She established harmony. A lot of development has happened, people’s lives have been touched. The Harmads of CPI(MK) cannot tolerate this.
We will fight till the end. They started the fight. We will end it.
