Competition to boost creativity in artisans
Artisans from various districts of Bangla showcased products at the State Level Handicrafts Competition 2019-20 organised in the city on November 20.
Directorate of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of Bangla has been organising district level handicrafts competition in the districts (District Industries Centres/ Sub- District Industries Centres) and State Level handicrafts competition at Kolkata every year in order to encourage the craft persons of Bangla for creation of new and innovative products.
Wares of artisans, shortlisted from the district level handicrafts competition, were on display at the exhibition held at the office of General Manager, District Industries Centre at Bentinck Street. Handicrafts selected in the district level were given cash awards.
