Bangla has the best talent in the world: Mamata Banerjee at felicitation of board toppers

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today felicitated the toppers of Madhyamik, Higher Secondary, ICSE, CBSE, and ISC examinations. The felicitation programme was held at Netaji Indoor Stadium.
It was Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who had initiated the programme to felicitate the toppers in the state from all boards.
In her speech, she congratulated all the students for securing a rank in the merit list. She also urged them to stick to the values imparted by their teachers and parents, and pursue a career of their choice

I strongly believe that the students from Bengal are the best. They are working everywhere around the world. We are proud that the talent in our State is the best
Do read books but do not become lethargic. Eat healthy, exercise regularly.
Teachers are like our guardians. They also play an important role in shaping you. They also feel proud when your perform well
Be what you wish to be. Always be happy. Do not allow your brain to be filled with negativity and anger.
You may have different ambitions. I would urge you to join the civil services, so that you can serve the people and the society. We have set up a new IAS training institute
We have set up ITIs and polytechnics where we provide skill training to the youth. We are developing new infrastructure
There were 12 universities in Bengal till 2011. We have set up 28 new universities. New medical colleges have been set up. Number of medical seats has also increased. We are also providing scholarships to PhD students, after Centre stopped the funds
