Bakul Bagan Sarbojanin Durgotsab – Revealing the Other Side of Didi
This year, on the 83rd year of Bakul Bagan Sarbojanin Durgotsab, the club has a big surprise for Calcuttans. The Bakul Bagan Sarbojanin Durgotsab club, which once started as a small gathering point has now become one of the most popular venues for Durga Puja and attracts hundreds of pandal hoppers every year. This year too, with their innovative scheme and creative spirit, they hope to lure more traffic and create a mark for itself among the numerous pujas that happen in the city. But of course this time the attraction is somewhere else. This year the Honourable Minister of Railways and All India Trinamool Congress chief Ms. Mamata Banerjee is the key person behind Bakul Bagan’s puja. The theme for this year’s Puja has been worked upon by her. The artist Arun Kumar is giving shape to the pandal decoration and marquee according to the concept designed by the Minister. During the four days of the carnival the marquee will be decorated by the paintings of our beloved Didi. Route Guide: Bakul bagan is located in the southern part of Kolkata. To reach the venue conveniently, you can take a bus or metro and get down at Bhowanipore. The pandal is located just opposite Bhowanipore Police station adjacent Sree Hari Mistanna Bhandar.
