AC bus stops along highways & other major roads
For the first time, the State Public Works Department (PWD) has decided to build AC bus stops along highways and other major roads across Bangla.
The spots have already been identified. For now, a little more than 100 have been planned, with 20 to be built in the first phase. Rs 2 lakh is the approximate total budget for the first phase.
The design has also been decided by the department. Each bus stand would have a beautiful picture of a landscape, along with the State’s logo. A model of the Bengali letter, ‘Ba’, from the name ‘Biswa Bangla’, would be placed on one end of the stand. There would be sitting capacity for 20 people.
