Shanta Chhetri speaks on the delay in setting up Circuit Bench of Calcutta High Court in Jalpaiguri

Hon Sir, thank you for allowing me to speak. I would like to draw the kind attention of the August House that the much awaited Circuit Bench of Calcutta High Court at Jalpaiguri seems to be stopped due to the lack of Central Government’s interest.
Sir, the State Government has already completed the basic amenities and work required to be done by the State Government. The unnecessary delay has been a bone of contention for both the legal professionals and litigants. Sir, it is apparent that the Central Government is deliberately interfering the administrative work.
People of North Bengal have enough questions and are slowly being pushed to be edged. I humbly draw the attention of this August House to the anguish of the people of North Bengal. I humbly urge the GOI, through you Sir, to seek detailed explanation on the delay and a definite time frame within which the Circuit Bench of Calcutta High Court at Jalpaiguri will see the light of the day.
