Derek O’Brien makes a Point of Order on blacking out of RSTV on December 21

Sir my Point of Order is under Rule 258.
Sir, It is never our intention to question the intention of the Chair; we have great respect and affection for you, Sir.
I am referring to an incident which took place yesterday exactly at 2:13 PM. I am quoting from the verbatim record of the proceedings, which we received today. At about 2:13 PM yesterday, the Rajya Sabha TV was blacked out for 90 seconds.
The verbatim record quotes, with due respect Sir, “I don’t want these sorts of scenes to be telecast around the country.”
There was a debate yesterday, there was an issue in the House yesterday. Sir, there were people in the well. My humble suggestion to you, Sir, is that, even if there are issues, Sir, even if there are such scenes, let the people watch. Let them know.
This is part of our Parliamentary democracy. This is also a way of Opposition expressing themselves. This is my humble suggestion.
