FULL TRANSCRIPT

Madam, it is necessary to curb the menace of ATM frauds. Banks are being looted and the Government of India should come up with security measures.

Now what happened in the ATMs? They were fitted with skimmers to steal the money in a very systematic manner, in a very scientific way. Many banks have been affected by this. These things are happening not only in Bangla, but also in Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Romanians and Nigerians are having leading roles behind these frauds.

We dreamt about plastic money in the country. But then, the money which is kept in banks is not being kept in a safe manner. I would ask the Government of India to look into the matter with due priority and direct all banks to take necessary security measures. The money of the poor people, which is kept with confidence and trust, should not be looted. The money kept in ATMs are to be kept safely. People must feel safe and secure about keeping their money in Government banks
