Saugata Roy speaks in Lok Sabha on Rafale Deal

FULL TRANSCRIPT

A newspaper reported that the Defence Ministry has objected to the Prime Minister’s office undermining the Rafale negotiation. It seems that while there is a negotiating committee consisting of the deputy chief of the Indian Air force, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and particularly the national security advisor, Mr Doval were conducting a parallel negotiation in Paris with the French people.

The Defence Ministry had objected to this parallel negotiation by the Prime Minister’s Office and his well-known and notorious national security advisor, Ajit Doval, which  was undermining the bargaining capacity of the government.

The Defence Ministry is concerned with national security. The defence sector had said said, “It is desirable that some discussion be avoided by the PMO as it diminishes our negotiating position seriously.”

So because of this undermining, the 36 Rafales were ultimately bought for Rs 59,000 crore each. The price were so high because the offset was given to Anil Ambani who is the head of Reliance Aviation, in order for the prime minister to help him. They are destroying the backbone of the country.

Now after such things happened I just saw the Defence Minister leave because she does not want to face the House. Please come and face the House, don’t leave.

‘Chowkidar chor hain’ is resounding in all over the country.

The Indian Air force is negotiating the whole thing at that time. Why should the Prime Minister’s Office interfere about the price? It diminishes, undermines the negotiating capacity of the defence negotiating team headed by the deputy chief of the Indian Air Force because Rafale is stands out as the biggest scandal of India.
