Arpita Ghosh speaks on the railway infrastructure in her constituency

I want to speak about the condition of Railways. It is in bad shape. In my constituency, Balurghat, only two trains run – Gaur Express and Tebhaga Express. Tebhaga Express is not being connected with another train for Uttar Dinajpur district. AC coaches are being cut. The stations are in pitiable condition. The roofs leak there, and in Gangarampur, the stations are so low, that it is difficult to commute there.
Madam, we have a wagon factory was supposed to come up at Buniyadpur. When Mamata Banerjee was the Railway Minister, she set it up. But Rail Minister says there is no question of it coming up there. I would like to urge the Minister, through you Madam, it is extremely important that it is set up. This will create employment opportunities for the young girls and boys.
