They (BJP) are trying to sell the country just because they have the numbers. There is injustice, anarchy and lawlessness across the country. They do not pay any heed to the opinion of the people. They may have the numerical strength, but that doesn’t mean they can do anything. There are constitutional norms.
We also have more than two-thirds majority in Bengal. Despite having numerical strength we have never taken any anti-people decisions. Trinamool is always pro-people.
We have supported Meira Kumar in the presidential polls. But we will respect the NDA candidate too if he becomes the President. This vote is our protest against injustice. This is a vote for resistance. We will continue to speak for the people. There are some parties which still support the BJP. It is time for all to come together to fight the BJP in the national interest.
All sections of society are under attack, including the media. Various agencies are being misused. We are the worst sufferers. We are the victims of circumstance. India’s relations with Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh have worsened. Bengal shares its borders with these countries. What will happen if China takes control of Sikkim? What will happen to the ‘chicken neck’ region near Siliguri? The Centre’s wrong policies have worsened our relations with our neighbours.
We want cordial relations with Bangladesh. But we have information that Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) burnt effigies of Sheikh Hasina on July 1. Why was it allowed? How is the VHP giving arms training to women and children in the name of Durga Vahini. Parallel governments are being run in the name of gau-rakshaks and vahinis. Where is the RAW, IB, NSA and NIA?
Nearly 400 schools have mushroomed around the Pashupati Gate near Darjeeling where Chinese language is being taught. Who allowed that to happen? Jamaatis – who are also fighting Sheikh Hasina – were allowed to enter through Saatkheera and incite communal violence through videos. People here believe in harmony and we thwarted their efforts. But the question remains, who allowed them to enter?
We have registered our protest against injustice and anarchy. Very few parties, apart from us, have this conviction. Eighteen political parties have come together for these polls; we thank them. To the other parties, I wish to tell you, BJP will not spare you either. This is the right time to form an alliance.
Trinamool will continue to be vocal about Kashmir, the attack on Amarnath yatris, Aadhaar card, violence in the name of gau-raksha and the systemic efforts to break the federal structure. They have pushed the country backwards with demonetisation. Note bandi and GST have become instruments of corruption. How much black money was recovered? The country is yet to know.
They will orchestrate riots and States will have to bear the brunt? This cannot continue. We will keep fighting like tigers. They can keep indulging in the politics of vindictiveness if they wish. We are ready to go to jail. We will not bow down our heads.

ওরা (বিজেপি) দেশকে বিক্রি করে দেওয়ার চেষ্টা করছে। চারিদিকে অন্যায়, অরাজকতা। ওরা মানুষের কথায় কান দেয় না, শুধুমাত্র ওদের নম্বরের জোর আছে বলে। আগেও কিছু রাজনৈতিক দল এসেছে যাদের নম্বরের জোর ছিল। কিন্তু সংবিধানের কিছু নিয়ম আছে। আমাদের যেমন সংবিধান আছে, তেমনই কনভেনশন আছে।
আমরাও এখানে সংখ্যাগরিষ্ঠ। আমরা এমন কিছু করি না যাতে মানুষের ক্ষতি হতে পারে। আমরা সব সময় pro-people। তাই আমাদের এই stand মীরা কুমারকে সমর্থন করার মধ্য দিয়ে। আমরা ভোট দিয়েছি; অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদের ভোট, প্রতিরোধের ভোট। আগামী দিনে আমি চাই বিরোধী শক্তি এক জায়গায় এসে লড়াই করুক। এখনও কেউ কেউ আছেন যারা বিজেপিকে মদত দিচ্ছেন। আমরা দেশের স্বার্থে অনুরোধ করব বিজেপিকে মদত দেওয়া বন্ধ করে মানুষের পাশে এসে দাঁড়ান। আজ দেশের মানুষের পাশে দাঁড়ানোই সবচেয়ে বড় কাজ।
মিডিয়া থেকে শুরু করে সকলের ওপর অত্যাচার হচ্ছে। বিভিন্ন এজেন্সিকে কাজে লাগানো হচ্ছে। আজ সবচেয়ে বেশি ভুক্তভোগী আমরা। We are the victims of the circumstances। বাংলা নেপাল-ভুটান-বাংলাদেশের প্রবেশদ্বার। সিকিম আজ চিনের কাছে চলে গেলে, দার্জিলিং suffer করবে। কেন্দ্রীয় সরকারের ভুলের জন্য চিন, নেপাল, ভুটান বাংলাদেশের সঙ্গে সম্পর্ক খারাপ করে ফেলেছে। সবেচ্যে বেশি suffer করছে বাংলা।
আমরা বাংলাদেশের সঙ্গে ভালো সম্পর্ক চাই। ১ লা জুলাই বিজেপির এক সংগঠন শেখ হাসিনার কুশপুত্তলিকা পুড়িয়েছে, তারা একটা হিন্দু সংগঠন, তাদের এই সাহস কেন হবে? কেন বিশ্ব হিন্দু পরিষদের নামে দুর্গা বাহিনী গঠন করে বন্দুকের প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হবে? কখনো গো রক্ষকের নামে, কখনো বাহিনীর নামে parallel government চালাচ্ছে। RAW, IB, NSA, NIA কোথায়? কেন বর্ডার খুলে দেওয়া হয়?
দার্জিলিং এর কাছে পশুপতি গেটের পাশে প্রায় ৪০০ স্কুল তৈরি হয়েছে চাইনিজ ভাষা শেখানোর জন্য। সাতক্ষীরা থেকে যখন এখানে জামাতের লোক ঢুকিয়ে দাঙ্গা লাগানোর চেষ্টা করা হয়েছিল। আমরা তা করতে দিইনি, রুখে দিয়েছি। কারা খুলে দিয়েছিল? কেন দিয়েছিল?
আমরা হারবো জেনেও ভোট দিয়েছি কারণ আমরা আমদের অন্যায়ের বিরুদ্ধে প্রতিবাদটা রেকর্ড করিয়েছি। আমরা ছাড়া আর কারোর এই সাহস নেই। আজ ১৮ টি রাজনৈতিক দল একজোট হয়েছে, তাদের আমি ধন্যবাদ ও অভিনন্দন জানাই। কিন্তু আজও যারা ভয়ে বিজেপিকে সমর্থন করছেন আগামী দিনে বিজেপিও আপনাদের ছেড়ে কথা বলবে না। এটা জোট বাধার একটা শুভক্ষণ। রাষ্ট্রপতি নির্বাচনে ভোট দিয়ে আমরা জোট বাঁধার জোটটাকে শক্তিশালী করলাম।
তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস মানুষের কথা বলবে। দার্জিলিং, কাশ্মীর, অমরনাথ, আধার কার্ড, যুক্তরাষ্ট্রীয় পরিকাঠামোয় হস্তক্ষেপ, গো-রক্ষার নামে হিংসা থেকে শুরু করে সব কিছু নিয়ে বলবে। দাঙ্গা করবে ওনারা, আর রাজ্য সব সামলাবে? GST, নোট বন্দিতে দেশ পিছিয়ে গেছে। GST, নোট বন্দি দুটোই corruption এর চূড়ান্ত জায়গায় পৌঁছে গেছে। কালো টাকাগুলো কোথায় গেল আজ পর্যন্ত মানুষ জানে না।
আমরা বাঘের বাচ্চার মত লড়াই করে বেঁচে থাকব। প্রতিহিংসা মূলক আচরণ করে কেউ যদি ভাবে আমাদের জেলে পাঠাবে, আমরা জেলে যেতে প্রস্তুত। কিন্তু আমরা আমাদের মাথা নত করব না।
