In a unique step to help people buy fresh vegetables without visiting the market, the state Agricultural Marketing department is all set to introduce home delivery of green vegetables through its Sufal Bangla project.

The shop of Sufal Bangla at New Alipore will be inaugurated today  and side by side, a phone number will be announced. A person just need to dial in that number and order vegetables worth at least Rs 500 to get it delivered free to his or her home.

The New Alipore counter of state Agriculture Marketing department is the first one to make the home delivery service available. Once the project becomes successful in new Alipore area, the same will be implemented in other parts of the city as well.

Before placing an order for home delivery, a person can easily check prices of vegetables, even of its varieties, at the website of the Sufal Bangla. One just needs to click on the “daily price list” button in the website.

Though at present only the residents of New Alipore area can avail the service, the department has plans of implementing the same in other parts of the city and sub-urban areas in the state as well.

কৃষিজমি থেকে সরাসরি শহরের রান্নাঘরে টাটকা শাক-সবজি পৌঁছে দিতে একাধিক উদ্যোগ নিচ্ছে রাজ্য সরকার৷ রাজ্য সরকারের উদ্যোগে চালু হচ্ছে ‘সুফল বাংলা’ প্রকল্প। এই প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে বিভিন্ন স্বনির্ভর গোষ্ঠী মারফত কৃষকের জমির ফসল ন্যায্য দামে সাধারণ মানুষের কাছে পৌঁছে যাবে৷

আজ নিউ আলিপুরে সুফল বাংলা স্টলের উদ্বোধন হবে এবং এর পাশাপাশি একটি ফোন নম্বরও ঘোষণা করা হবে। ক্রেতারা সেই নম্বরে ফোন করে অর্ডার দিতে পারবেন। ৫০০ টাকার বেশি জিনিস কিনলে পাওয়া যাবে ফ্রি হোম ডেলিভারি পরিষেবা।

নিউ আলিপুরে খুলবে কৃষি ও বিপণন দফতরের ‘সুফল বাংলা’র কাউন্টার৷ নিউ আলিপুরে এই প্রকল্প সফল হলে শহরের বিভিন্ন জায়গায় তৈরি হবে এই স্টল।

আজ থেকে চালু হবে এই অনলাইন পরিষেবা। অর্ডার করার আগে ব্যক্তি সুফল বাংলা ওয়েবসাইটে খুব সহজেই সব সবজির দাম দেখে নিতে পারবেন। এর জন্য ওয়েবসাইটে গিয়ে “daily price list” বোতামে ক্লিক করতে হবে।

ক্রেতা ও কৃষকদের মধ্যে সরাসরি সবজি কেনাকাটা করার ব্যবস্থাই নয়, আধুনিক পদ্ধতিতে কৃষিজ পণ্য উৎপাদন ও বিক্রির জন্য তরুণ কৃষকদের প্রশিক্ষণ দেবে রাজ্য সরকার। রাজ্য কৃষি বিপণন দফতর ২০১৭ সালের মধ্যে এক হাজারেরও বেশি যুবককে আধুনিক উপায়ে কৃষিকাজের প্রশিক্ষণ দেবে। প্রত্যেক যুবককে ৯০ দিনের জন্য প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হবে৷ প্রতিটি জেলার দু’টি ব্লকে এই সংগঠিত হবে প্রশিক্ষণ  শিবির। ইতিমধ্যেই বীরভূম ও হুগলি জেলার দু’টি ব্লকে যুবকদের প্রশিক্ষণ শিবির অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে। পরে সরকারি আবাসনেও তৈরি হবে এই সুফল বাংলা স্টল।

With the 21e July Sahid Dibas this week itself, Trinamool Youth Congress President and Lok Sabha MP Abhishek Banerjee is travelling far and wide to energise the workers and supporters of various districts.

While addressing a mammoth gathering at Kakdwip in South 24 Prgs, Abhishek Banerjee sounded the bugle call for the upcoming 21e July Sahid Dibas rally at Esplanade. He also categorically sent out a message to the workers that the primary work for them is development and only development to grow on the faith that people have reposed on Mamata Banerjee in the recent elections.

Abishek Banerjee sent out a clear message that the workers will not pay heed to the slander of the opposition and continue the work of development that is being led by Mamata Banerjee. He also made encouraged the young and old to mark their presence at Esplanade on 21st of July to honor the martyrs of the historic 21st July andolan.

Attacking the opposition Abishek Banejee mentioned that the CPI(M) have vanished from Bengal and could not be spotted even through binoculars, he also attacked the unholy alliance of the CPI(M) and Congress by saying that none of the two parties could stand alone in Bengal and hence took on the support of another only for their existence and to grab power. Despite their desperate attempt, the people of Bengal have decisively rejected their unholy ideology-less alliance through the ballot box in the recent assembly elections and have reposed their trust and faith in Mamata Banerjee and her mantra of development, peace and progress.

আসন্ন ২১শে জুলাইয়ের প্রস্তুতি উপলক্ষে রবিবার দক্ষিণ ২৪ পরগনা জেলা যুবর উদ্যোগে কাকদ্বীপ-সুন্দরবন মহাবিদ্যালয়ের মাঠে একটি জনসভা করেন সাংসদ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়। সভামঞ্চ থেকে কর্মীদের উদ্দেশ্যে তিনি বলেন উন্নয়নই তাদের মূলমন্ত্র।

তিনি আরও বলেন, তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসকর্মীরা এমন কোনও আচরণ করবেন না যাতে সাধারণ মানুষ ভুল বোঝেন। দুর্নীতিগ্রস্ত ও তোলাবাজদের দলে কোনও জায়গা নেই। কারণ আমাদের নেত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় চিরদিন ত্যাগ করে এসেছেন। সততার সঙ্গে কখনও আপস করেননি।’

এদিন অভিষেক বলেন, ‘১৯৯৩ সালে তৎকালীন যুব কংগ্রেস সভানেত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জির ডাকে সি পি এমের বিরুদ্ধে আন্দোলন করতে গিয়ে ১৩ জন কর্মী শহিদ হয়েছিলেন।আগামী ১০০ বছরও ভারতের রাজনৈতিক আন্দোলনে ২১ শে জুলাই চিরস্মরণীয় হয়ে থাকবে। কারণ ২১ জুলাইয়ের অর্থ ত্যাগ, পরিশ্রম ও জয় করা।’

বিরোধীদের আক্রমণ করে তিনি বলেন, “সিপিএম এখন বাংলা থেকে নিশ্চিহ্ন হয়ে গেছে। সিপিএম ও কংগ্রেসের অনৈতিক জোটকেও এদিন তিনি আক্রমণ করে বলেন কংগ্রেস নিজেদের কর্মী–সমর্থকদের রক্তে ভেজা পতাকাটা সি পি এমের কাছে বিক্রি করে দিয়েছে। বিরোধীদের এত কুৎসা অপপ্রচার সত্ত্বেও বিধান সভা নির্বাচনে বিপুল ভোটে জয় পেয়েছেন মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় কারণ সাধারণ মানুষের বিশ্বাস রয়েছে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ও তার কাজের ওপর”।

In an unprecedented move to minimise the incidents of human-elephant confrontation, the state forest department has come up with an idea to set up toilets at the households in and around the forest area as villagers often face wild tuskers while going for open defecation in the forest.

The move taken by the forest department has been widely appreciated by various sections of the society in the state.

It has been observed that in the forest adjoining areas, people need to go to the forest for open defecation and get attacked by the wild elephants. To check such incidents, the State Forest Department is planning to set up toilets at every households situated in and around the forest areas in different sub-divisions.

Forest Minister Binay Krishna Burman on Sunday flagged off the project at Baikunthapur forest division in North Bengal under which around 350 households situated at the forest area have got toilets. The department has a plan to set up toilets at other households at other forest ranges as well in various phases.

“Our department has constructed 350 toilets in the houses of the villagers living in Baikunthapur range. This will reduce the incidents of human-animal conflict. We have a plan to set up toilets for the villagers residing at other forest ranges through various phases as the project requires huge fund,” the Minister said.

He also said that people living in the forest areas have to confront various wild animals when they go for open defecation. After considering the matter which is of great importance, the State Forest Department has chalked out an elaborate plan to solve problem. The project which was inaugurated at North Bengal was a part of weeklong Bono Mohotsav celebration started on July 14 by the Forest Department.

The Forest Department has urged the district administration and various Panchayat functionaries in the district having forest areas, to come forward and join hands with the department to conduct the project in a smoother way.

It may be mentioned that the state government had launched Mission Nirmal Bangla in October 2014 under which various sanitation projects were taken up at various levels. The state government had also set up a target before various departments to achieve cleanliness and sanitation by forming an administrative mechanism. Mission Nirmal Bangla was a brainchild of the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee who had laid emphasis on the cleanliness drive.

In less than a year’s time, Nadia had become the first Indian district to earn Open Defecation Free (ODF) status, on April 30 in 2015. Nadia launched an aggressive sanitation project in the name or everyone’s toilet.

In around 18 months, nearly 347,000 toilets were built in the district. Mission Nirmal Bangla which has now become a showcase project of the state government has been carried out by various district administrations and the UNICEF.

 

বন ও বন সংলগ্ন এলাকায় শৌচাগার নির্মাণের পরিকল্পনা রাজ্য সরকারের

রাজ্য বন দপ্তরের উদ্যোগে বনাঞ্চলের সব বাড়িতে শৌচাগার তৈরির নতুন অভিনব পদক্ষেপ নিয়েছে রাজ্য সরকার।

বন দপ্তরের গৃহীত এই পদক্ষেপ সমাজের বিভিন্ন বিভাগ দ্বারা প্রশংসিত হয়েছে।

এটা লক্ষ্য করা গেছে যে বন সংলগ্ন এলাকায়, মানুষ খোলা আকাশের নিচে মলত্যাগ জন্য বনে যান এবং বন্য হাতির দ্বারা আক্রান্ত হয়। এই ধরনের ঘটনা বন্ধ করার জন্য, রাজ্য বন বিভাগ ইতিমধ্যে বিভিন্ন মহকুমায় ও  বনাঞ্চলে প্রায় প্রত্যেক বাড়িতে টয়লেট স্থাপনের পরিকল্পনা নিয়েছে।

রবিবার বনমন্ত্রী বিনয় কৃষ্ণ বর্মণ উত্তরবঙ্গের বৈকুণ্ঠপুরে এই প্রকল্পের সূচনা করেন যেখানে প্রায় ৩৫০টি পরিবার রয়েছে। পাশাপাশি অন্যান্য অঞ্চলেও পর্যায়ক্রমে এই শৌচাগার তৈরির পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে।

২০১৪ সালের অক্টোবর মাসে রাজ্য সরকার নির্মল মিশন বাংলা প্রকল্প চালু করে।একটি প্রশাসনিক প্রক্রিয়া গঠন করে পরিচ্ছন্নতা ও স্যানিটেশনের ক্ষেত্রে একটি লক্ষ্য স্থির করেছে রাজ্য সরকার। মিশন নির্মল বাংলা এই উদ্ভাবনী প্রকল্পের মাধ্যমে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা ব্যানার্জী পরিচ্ছন্নতার ওপর গুরুত্ব আরোপ করেছেন।

প্রকল্প শুরুর এক বছরেরও কম সময়ের মধ্যে ২০১৫ সালের ৩০ এপ্রিল নদিয়া দেশের মধ্যে প্রথম ODF status অর্জন করেছে। সকলের জন্য শৌচাগার এই স্যানিটেশন প্রকল্প চালু করেছে নদিয়া।

গত ১৮ মাসে জেলায় প্রায় ৩৪৭০০০ শৌচাগার নির্মাণ হয়েছে। মিশন নির্মল বাংলা যা এখন রাজ্য সরকারের একটি গ্লাসকেস প্রকল্প হয়ে উঠেছে যা ইউনিসেফ দ্বারা প্রশংসিত।

The Bengal government is set to launch a unique fish tourism enticing the tourists in and outside India. With her policy to increase tourism in the state, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is going whole nine yards to boost Sunderbans as one of the most cherished destination for global tourists.

The plan is to provide a scope to the tourists to witness fish-firming there along with visiting the tiger reserve, biosphere reserve, forest bed and backwater and wide varieties of wild lives especially the Bengal tiger – the elitist among the big cat family.

In a recent meeting at state secretariat, fisheries department minister Chandranath Sinha, Sundarbans development minister, Manturam Pakhira and Bio-technology minister Ashis Banerjee had prepared a draft plan of this project.

“The money spent by the tourists will go for the development of fishermen communities here. This will be completely eco-friendly tourism programme. The Self-Help Groups of this delta will be benefitted,” said Sundarbans development minister.

The state fisheries minister is hopeful about the economic upliftment of the poor fish farmers. “Many women are farming carps and shrimps. Their work would be featured in front of the international tourist and they will be benefitted,” said the minister.

Sundarbans is the natural breeding ground of stinging catfish, snakehead murrel and some Indian carps as well. These fishes are generally farmed in the crop-cultivation land where knee-deep water is enough to produce and nurture those fishes.

Lime and food to the fish-farmers have already been given to fish farmers to boost the cultivation there. The state tourism department have recently decided to tie-up with a Kerala based private company to build seven houseboats for Sundarbans. Those houseboats will be plying alongside the creeks of Sundarbans, Tajpur and Mandarmani.

The state government will provide some specific facilities to this project and the revenue would be shared from the profit.

 

সুন্দরবনে ম९স্য পর্যটনের আয়োজন করছে রাজ্য সরকার

ভারতের মধ্যে ও বাইরে পর্যটকদের আকর্ষণের জন্য পশ্চিমবঙ্গ সরকার একটি মাছ পর্যটনের আয়োজন করেছে। রাজ্যের পর্যটন শিল্প প্রসারের কথা মাথায় রেখে মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় সবরকম প্রচেষ্টা করছেন।

এই নতুন পরিকল্পনার মাধ্যমে পর্যটকদের মাছ-firming, টাইগার রিজার্ভ, জীবমণ্ডল রিজার্ভ এবং বন্য জীবজন্তুর বৈচিত্র্যের পরিদর্শন বিশেষত বেঙ্গল টাইগার ইত্যাদি দেখানো হবে।

সম্প্রতি রাষ্ট্র সচিবালয়ের একটি বৈঠকে ম९স্যমন্ত্রী চন্দ্রনাথ সিনহা, সুন্দরবন উন্নয়ন মন্ত্রী মন্টুরাম পাখিরা এবং বায়ো-প্রযুক্তি মন্ত্রী আশিস ব্যানার্জি এই প্রকল্পের একটি খসড়া পরিকল্পনা প্রস্তুত করেন।

“যেসব টাকা পর্যটকরা খরচ করে এখানে আসবেন তা এখানকার ম९স্যজীবীদের উন্নয়নের কাজে ব্যবহৃত হবে। এটি সম্পূর্ণরূপে একটি ইকো বান্ধব পর্যটন প্রোগ্রাম। এর মাধ্যমে বদ্বীপের স্ব-নির্ভর গোষ্ঠীর মানুষরাও উপকৃত হবেন”,  একথা জানান সুন্দরবন উন্নয়ন মন্ত্রী।

রাজ্য মৎস্য মন্ত্রী দরিদ্র মাছ চাষীদের অর্থনৈতিক উন্নয়ন সম্পর্কে আশাবাদী। “মন্ত্রী বলেন, “আজকাল অনেক মহিলা কার্প ও চিংড়ি চাষ করছেন। তাদের কাজ আন্তর্জাতিক ক্ষেত্রে প্রদর্শিত হবে এবং এর মাধ্যমে তারা উপকৃত হবেন”।

সুন্দরবনের যন্ত্রণাদায়ক মাগুর মাছ, টাকি মাছ murrel এবং কিছু ভারতীয় কার্প প্রাকৃতিক প্রজনন স্থল হিসাবে ভাল. এই মাছ সাধারণত ফসল-চাষের জমি যেখানে হাঁটু পানি উ९পাদন এবং সেই মাছ শিক্ষাদান করার জন্য যথেষ্ট মধ্যে চাষ করা হয়।

মাছ চাষ উন্নয়নের জন্য লেবু ও মাছের খাদ্য ইতিমধ্যেই মাছ চাষীদের দেওয়া হয়েছে। রাজ্য পর্যটন বিভাগ সম্প্রতি একটি কেরল ভিত্তিক বেসরকারি কোম্পানির সঙ্গে সুন্দরবনের জন্য সাতটি হাউস বোট নির্মাণ করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে। সেই হাউস বোটগুলি সুন্দরবন, তাজপুর এবং মন্দারমনি এর খাঁড়ির পাশাপাশি চলাচল করবে।

এই প্রকল্পে রাজ্য সরকার বেশ কিছু নির্দিষ্ট সুবিধা প্রদান করবে এবং মুনাফা থেকে রাজস্ব ভাগ করা হবে।

After a landslide victory at the Bengal Assembly polls, led by Mamata Banerjee, Trinamool Congress today raised key issues including price rise, federalism at the all-party held before the Monsoon Session of Parliament that begins tomorrow.

Sudip Bandopadhyay, Leader of the party in Lok Sabha and Sukhendu Sekhar Roy, Chief Whip in Rajya Sabha, represented the party at the meeting held in Delhi today.

The issues raised in the meeting were:

1) Price Rise affecting millions

2) Unemployment

3) Problems of debt-burdened States

4) FDI implementation bypassing Parliament

5) Electoral reforms needed

6) Federal structure must be respected always

7) Kashmir/ Dacca / France issues

8) Internal security

The party is committed to the smooth functioning of Parliament where all the above issues may be discussed.

Sukanyashree, a project to make girls economically independent has been launched in the state under the guidance of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The pilot project has been launched in Nadia district and the model will be replicated in other districts in course of time. It may be mentioned that the Kanyashree project has earned great success and has been appreciated both in the country and abroad.

A girl child between 0 days to 5 years has been brought under the project. The girl will get Rs 6 lakh when she turns 18 years of age. Along with this, she will get Rs 25,000 under the Kanyashree project.

Under Sukanyashree project, the district administration will hand over 101 samplings to the parents whose daughters are between 0 days and 5 years. Those who have 1 bigha of land will be given first priority. They will plant the saplings under the financial assistance of the state government which is Rs 18,340. In addition to this, to grow the saplings, they will get Rs 26,752 which is the wage of 158 labourers.

The families will get around Rs 60,000 per annum from the third year. Out of this if Rs 30,000 is kept for the girl, she will get Rs 3 lakh when she turn 14 and this amount will become Rs 6 lakh when she turns 18 years of age.

Those who do not have land will be given right of the tree (brikkha patta). Senior officials of the Panchayat and Rural Development department said if successful, the project would be replicated throughout the state and would make the girls living in the rural areas self reliant.

The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has chalked out elaborate measures to stop the outbreak of dengue in the city on the onset of monsoon.

The Union Health Ministry had lauded the KMC for taking measures to combat spread of the disease last year.

The KMC will conduct intense campaigns in the city when hoardings will be put up at important road intersections, leaflets will be distributed and health department workers will inform the people about the dos and don’ts to prevent the disease through public address system in every ward.

The surveillance has been intensified and people have been requested to clean the containers where water is stored at least once a week.

The overhead tanks and underground reservoirs should be covered and flower pots should be cleaned at least once a week.

The KMC teams visits the houses and request the owners of residential buildings and secretary of the cooperatives in case of apartment blocks to replace the covers of overhead tanks and underground reservoirs if they are found to be missing.

There are five dengue detection centres in the city where blood samples collected by the health department workers are tested.

The West Bengal government has set 2017-18 as the deadline to install grid-connected rooftop solar photo-voltaic system at all public buildings. The project has been christened as `Aaloshree’.

The State Urban Development department was the first to go off the block to turn all its buildings green. Initiated last year, a number of buildings, including Nagarayn Bhavan and NKDA building, have already been covered.

Regulators will be fixed and the panels will be net-metered so that the tariff rate could be fixed for using solar power. The solar energy that will be generated from the panels will be converted into electrical energy and put into the grid. The power that will be generated will be measured through a special net-meter.

The Environment department and the pollution control board are also working to set up solar photo-voltaic panels in 80 schools and 20 primary health centres across the state.

West Bengal is set to get Rs 700-1,000 crore investment in ramping up coal-bed methane (CBM) production from Essar Oil at Raniganj, but it could jump significantly if shale opportunity opens up.

“We have invested Rs 3,300 crore at our Raniganj CBM block and already achieved one million scmd production. We will have to pump an additional Rs 700-1,000 crore to reach the peak projected production of three million scmd capacity,” Essar Exploration & Production CEO Manish Maheswari said.

The West Bengal Government is expected to reap a handsome Rs 2,500 crore as royalty from this CBM block.

 

২০১৮ আর্থিক বর্ষে বাংলায় ১০০০ কোটি টাকা বিনিয়োগ করবে ‘এসার গ্রুপ’

পশ্চিমবঙ্গের রাণীগঞ্জে এসার অয়েল থেকে coal-bed মিথেন উ९পাদনের জন্য ৭০০-১০০০ কোটি টাকা বিনিয়োগ করার চিন্তা ভাবনা রয়েছে রাজ্য সরকারের। এর ফলে লাভের পরিমান উল্লেখযোগ্য হারে বৃদ্ধির সম্ভাবনা রয়েছে।

এসার এক্সপ্লোরেশন ও প্রোডাকশান সিইও মনিশ মহেশ্বর বলেন, “আমরা রাণীগঞ্জে CBM ব্লকে ৩,৩০০ কোটি টাকা বিনিয়োগ করেছি এবং ইতিমধ্যে এক মিলিয়ন উ९পাদন হয়েছে।  তিন মিলিয়ন উ९পাদন ক্ষমতার শিখরে পৌঁছাতে অতিরিক্ত ৭০০-১০০০ কোটি টাকা বিনিয়োগ করতে হবে”।

এই CBM ব্লক থেকে ২,৫০০ কোটি টাকার একটি রয়্যালটি পাওয়ার আশা রয়েছে পশ্চিমবঙ্গ রাজ্য সরকারের।

The State Government initiatives to issue caste certificates to, along with the projects taken up for, people from SC, ST and OBC communities have created a major change in their lives. People belonging to such communities require caste certificates to get the benefits they are entitled to.

After coming to power in 2011, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee ensured that there was no politics over the issuing of caste certificates.

From calendar years 2006 to 2010, during the Left Front rule, 13,58,883 certificates were issued to the SC, ST and OBC communities. In contrast, from calendar years 2011 to 2015, 89,85,614 certificates in total were issued, which is a massive improvement.

Hence, under the Trinamool Congress Government, the numbers have improved substantially.

In 2016, till June 17, 17,275 ST people, and 1,89,282 SC and OBC people, that is, a total of 2,06,557 have already got caste certificates.

These certificates have changed their lives. The jobs of kendu leaf collectors have been assured and they are getting pension on attaining 60 years of age. If they are injured during work they are getting accident benefits. These people come from society’s poorest of the poor.

SC and ST students are given coaching free of cost in Delhi to appear for the Civil ServiceExamination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). An Eklavya model school, run by the Ramakrishna Mission, has been set up at Jhargram in the Jangalmahal region to impart education to ST students.

A senior official of the Backward Classes Welfare Department said that changes in the lives of SC, ST and OBC people that have taken place in the past five years were remarkable, with more schemes coming for them are in the future.

অনগ্রসর শ্রেণীর জীবনযাত্রার মান উন্নত করার জন্য জাতি শংসাপত্র চালু করার উদ্যোগ সরকারের

রাজ্য সরকারের উদ্যোগের এসসি, এসটি এবং ওবিসি লোকেদের নিয়ে তাদের জীবনে একটি বড় ধরনের পরিবর্তন আসতে চলেছে। রাজ্য সরকারের উদ্যোগে তারা এখন জাতি শংসাপত্র পেতে চলেছেন। তাদের প্রাপ্য সুযোগ সুবিধা দেওয়াই এই উদ্যোগের মূল লক্ষ্য।

২০১১ সালে ক্ষমতায় আসার পর মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় নিশ্চিত করেন যে  জাতি শংসাপত্র নিয়ে কোন রাজনীতি নয়।

২০০৬ থেকে ২০১০ সালের মধ্যে, বামফ্রন্টের রাজত্যকালে, ১৩,৫৮,৮৮৩ সার্টিফিকেট এস সি, এস টি এবং ও বি সি শ্রেণীর মধ্যে বিতরন করা হয়েছিল। তুলনায়, ২০১১ থেকে ২০১৫ সালের মধ্যে ৮৯,৮৫,৬১৪ সার্টিফিকেট বিতরন করা হয়েছে।

সুতরাং, তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস সরকারের আমলে এক বিশাল পরিবর্তন লক্ষ্য করা যায়।

২০১৬ সালের ১৭ জুন পর্যন্ত, ১৭,২৭৫জন তপশিলি উপজাতির মানুষ এবং ১৮৯,২৮২জন তপশিলি জাতি্র ও ওবিসি জাতির মানুষ, অর্থাত সব মিলিয়ে ২,০৬,৫৫৭জন, সার্টিফিকেট পেয়েছেন।

এই সার্টিফিকেট তাদের জীবনকে পুরোপুরি বদলে দিয়েছে। কেন্দু পাতা সংগ্রহকারিদের জীবিকা সুনিশ্চিত করেছে এবং এখন তাঁরা ৬০ বছর বয়সের পর থেকে পেনশন পাবেন। কাজ করতে গিয়ে যদি তারা আহত হন তাহলে তারা অ্যাক্সিডেন্ট বেনিফিটও পাবেন।

তফসিলি জাতি ও উপজাতিদের শিক্ষার্থীদের দিল্লিতে ইউনিয়ন পাবলিক সার্ভিস কমিশন কর্তৃক পরিচালিত সিভিল সার্ভিস পরীক্ষার জন্য বিনামূল্যে কোচিং দেওয়া হচ্ছে।

জঙ্গলমহলের  ঝাড়গ্রামে তফসিলি  উপজাতি ছাত্রদের শিক্ষাদান করতে রামকৃষ্ণ মিশন কর্তৃক পরিচালিত একলব্য মডেল স্কুল স্থাপন করা হয়েছে।

অনগ্রসর উন্নয়ন দপ্তরের একজন ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্মকর্তা জানান, তপশিলি জাতি, উপজাতি এবং ওবিসি মানুষের জীবনে যে গত পাঁচ বছরে অভূতপূর্ব পরিবর্তন হয়েছে এবং ভবিষ্যতেও তাদের জন্য একাধিক উন্নয়নমূলক স্কীম চালু হবে।
