West Bengal Tourism Department to promote Biswa Bangla brand across the globe in 2014

The state tourism Department is keeping no stones unturned to promote Biswa Bangla brand. The state, which is famous for tourist attractions like Sunderbans and Darjeeling Hills, has several other tourism spots which were hitherto unexplored. The new government under Trinamool Congress made it a point to promote them by building proper infrastructural facilities to attract tourists from all over the world.

The new Eco-Tourism Park, the Butterfly Park, Home Tourism initiatives, Gazaldoba Tourism Park and host of other projects including those in the Ayodhya Hills in Jangalmahal are some of the feathers on the cap of the new government.

The new look of the West Bengal Tourism will now be showcased at international tourism fairs all over the world in 2014. The department had already participated in the London International Tourism fair in November 2013.  Sea beaches of Digha and the Queen of Hills Darjeeling were the theme at those fairs. This year, the tourism department will also promote heritage tourism in the state, besides several eco-tourism hotspots.
