Week 8 | Trinamool MPs walk out in protest against the procedure used to bring J&K Reorganisation Bill

The last week of the Budget Session saw a lot of tumult as the Centre brought The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, 2019 without following due procedure. MPs from Opposition parties spoke out against the Bill. Trinamool Congress MPs staged walkouts during the passage of the Bill in both the Houses.
Important points of order were raised in the Rajya Sabha by the party regarding important technical matters like the convention to follow on introducing Bills and giving more time to MPs for analysing Bills so that they can come fully prepared to speak on them.
