WBPCB hands out eco-friendly paints to idol-makers
West Bengal Pollution Control Board (WBPCB), along with Kumartuli Association and Berger Paints India, provided eco-friendly Berger products to idol-makers at two different parts of the city.
The Chairman of WBPCB, chaired the event at Paribesh Bhavan, while State Minister of State for Women & Child Development and Social Welfare department was present at Kumartuli Park to support the cause.
To provide an eco-friendly and user-friendly substitute to the solvent paints, a paint major has introduced a range of water-based PU coatings for the artisan fraternity at Kumartuli – one of their major hubs.
The initiative promotes the usage of environmentally safer paints to reduce the risk of water pollution.
