WB CM slams Centre for increasing the prices of life saving drugs

West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee today inaugurated several medical facilities at SSKM hospital. She inaugurated two new academic buildings for SSKM hospital, a digital X Ray facility for Bangur hospital and an MRI facility for National Medical College.

At the inauguration ceremony she criticised the Central Government for increasing the prices of life saving drugs. She highlighted that the health infrastructure in Bengal has tremendously improved in the last three years.

WB CM announced that 2500 nurses will be recruited soon. She also said that 50 new fair-price laboratories will be opened in the State by December. The Chief Minister announced that in the next two years 40 new multi super-speciality hospitals will be set up in Bengal.
