WB CM reviews preparedness for cyclone Hudhud
West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee on Saturdayreviewed the preparedness in view of Cyclone Hudhud that will hit Odisha andAndhra Pradesh coastal areas on Sunday.
The Chief Secretary of the State, other top administrativeofficials including top police officers and state Disaster ManagementDepartment officials were present in the review meeting held at Nabanna, thestate secretariat.
A 24-hour control room has been opened at Nabanna to monitorthe situation in the coastal areas. The DMs in these districts have beenalerted. Huge number of relief items has been kept ready at emergency camps setup in these districts. Units of the Disaster Management Department have beenreadied to deal with any kind of emergency-like situation arising due toCyclone Hudhud.
