To aid farmers, State Govt to upgrade 250 PACSs to banking outlets
With an objective to increase credit to farmers, the Bengal Government is going to upgrade 250 Primary Agricultural Cooperative Societies (PACS) to banking outlets. These would come up in 250 gram panchayat areas, comprising 700 villages.
The State Cooperation Department has started the process of setting up the financial institutions already in some parts. The primary objective of the scheme is to improve the socio-economic condition of people involved in various agricultural sectors.
It may be mentioned that under Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, farmers’ income in Bengal has doubled the last six years.
কৃষকদের সুবিধার্থে ২৫০টি প্রাথমিক কৃষি সমবায় সমিতিতে ব্যাঙ্কে গড়া হবে
কৃষকদের আরও বেশী করে ঋণ দেওয়ার লক্ষ্যে রাজ্য সরকার ২৫০টি প্রাথমিক কৃষি সমবায় সমিতিতে ব্যাঙ্ক গড়ার করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে।
এই ব্যাঙ্কগুলি তৈরী হবে ২৫০টি গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত এলাকায়, যার মধ্যে আছে ৭০০টি গ্রাম। এই উদ্যোগের প্রাথমিক উদ্দেশ্য কৃষির সঙ্গে যুক্ত সকল মানুষের আর্থ-সামাজিক সংস্থার উন্নয়ন করা।
ক্ষমতায় আসার পর থেকেই তৃণমূল সরকার কৃষি ক্ষেত্রের উন্নয়নের জন্য প্রচুর উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে। যেমন, কৃষিতে প্রয়োজনীয় যন্ত্রপাতি বিনামূল্যে প্রদান করা হয় কৃষকদের, সমবায় তৈরী করা হচ্ছে কৃষি ঋণের জন্য, সুফল বাংলা কেন্দ্র তৈরী করা হয়েছে যাতে কৃষকরা নিজেদের উৎপাদনের জন্য ভালো মূল্য পান, কিষাণ ক্রেডিট কার্ড দেওয়া হচ্ছে।
বাংলা পর পর ছ’বার কৃষি কর্মন পুরষ্কার পেয়েছে।
