Those who don’t have the organisation to select 42 candidates are dreaming of ruling Bengal: Abhishek Banerjee
Today, Abhishek Banerjee addressed an organisational meeting at the Gunjja Sabanpur Football Ground in Joypur, Purulia.
Here are the highlights of his speech:
TMC is a people’s party and therefore it will always remain beside the people. It will fight for the people till the last drop of blood.
Today, booth workers from all parts of Purulia have come here today and therefore, I can confidently go back and tell Mamata Banerjee that Trinamool will win big here.
Those who thought that Trinamool can be stopped by threats are wrong. Threats will only turn it stronger.
As long as I’m here I will never let Purulia turn communal. The BJP will fail in 2019 as a result of their false promises.
Mamata Banerjee has worked for all Pashchimanchal districts.
We have kept all our promises.
A super-specialty hospital has come up, along with 18 SNSUs and 2 SNCUs in Purulia
116 Madhyamik schools have been upgraded and 7 polytechnics have been established in Purulia
Under Nirmal Bangla, 3 lakh toilets have been constructed in Purulia.
The development Mamata Banerjee has brought about, no other party in India can claim anything similar to it.
Booth workers should work tirelessly so that we win by a huge margin.
Before casting your votes, always remember that you are voting not only for Mriganka Mahato but also for Mamata Banerjee.
Vote for development, for peace, for SCs and STs, for farmers, for workers and for the youth
We will not allow Central schemes where 50% funds have to be provided by the State. We have said we do not need that money and have therefore renamed those schemes for Bengal.
We will win all the 42 seats, in however many phases the elections are held.
The BJP has not been able to announce the names of its candidate till now. It it was the panchayat election, it would say that Trinamool is preventing them from picking candidates. What about now?
This time the fight is between communal forces and peace-loving and cultural Bengal. We will not give an inch without a fight.
Any vote given to the BJP will be a disaster as BJP means ‘Bharat Jumla Party’ as well as ‘Bharat Jalao Party’
Petrol prices kept increasing till the BJP faced a rout in five State elections. Then it started decreasing the prices. And now the GST rates are also being reduced.
The more the BJP kept losing, the more the petrol prices kept plummeting and the GST rates kept falling.
Mamata Banerjee never levied any extra taxes on people in the State.
We have maintained peace in Jangalmahal. Not a single incident of terror has been recorded in the last eight years.
Now they have GST on biscuits we eat everyday at the rate of 18% and on gold biscuits which only the super-rich buy, at 3%.
Modi has said that once he sold tea. But nobody saw him doing that. But Mamata Banerjee still moves around in hawai chappals and believes in simple living.
Once Purulia defeats the BJP, Bangla will win, and India will win, against communal forces.
Eighty years ago, a Bengali leader (Netaji) had said ‘Dilli Chalo’, now 80 years later another Bengali leader (Mamata Banerjee) is saying ‘Dilli Chalo’. We must all heed her call.
The BJP-led Central Government spent Rs 3,000 crore on a statue and over Rs 5,000 crore for its advertisements.
It spent Rs 750 crore for looking after cows and only Rs 100 crore for the Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao Scheme. It must remember that a cow gives milk and not votes.
We have seen the BJP, CPI(M) and Congress make adjustments within their parties so that they can fight the Trinamool.
We have to see that not a single vote goes to the Congress, Forward Bloc or BJP.
The BJP was involved in scams from air to water – Rafale was a Rs 42,000 crore scam and Namami Gange is a Rs 8,000 crore scam.
They are creating a false narrative that land will be taken away from tribal people. But the Mamata Banerjee-led State Government has passed a law so that no such thing can be done.
Now when communal tension and cow vigilantism are not working, the BJP has started taking the name of Abhinandan, the fighter pilot. Its leaders are saying they have brought him back. If Modi is really so brave, he should bring back Nirav Modi and Hafeez Saeed.
When the BJP people come to ask for your votes, tell them to first deposit Rs 15 lakh in each of your accounts, as Modi had promised, failing which give each of them 15 strong thwacks on the back.
Peaceful Purulia will remain peaceful. Purulia will again return a Trinamool candidate to the Lok Sabha and will play its part in forming a non-communal government in New Delhi.
