State Govt to impart firefighting training to Durga Puja committees
The State Fire and Emergency Department will impart special training for fighting fires to representatives from various clubs and puja committees from across Bangla before Durga Puja. This was announced by the departmental minister.
The representatives would be given training on how to take precautionary measures to check incidents of fire as well as fire safety drills in case a fire breaks out.
It was often found that the Puja organisers are not aware of how to extinguish the flames in and around a Puja pandal. This training would equip the clubs and puja committees to deal with such incidents.
