South Korean delegation meets WB CM to discuss possible investment in the state
The South Korean Ambassador to India Mr Joon Gyu Lee called on West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee at the state secretariat Nabanna.
Mr Lee was at the head of a three-member delegation to the chief minister, state secretariat sources said. Issues relating to possible South Korean investment and their cooperation in related areas was said to have discussed, among other things, in the meeting which lasted for about 50 minutes.
The delegation would again meet State Finance and Industry Minister Dr Amit Mitra today.
Incidentally, soon after the Chief Minister's maiden business trip to Singapore, a Malaysian business delegation led by its High Commissioner in India, Mr Datuk Naimun Ashakli Bin Mohammad had a meeting with Hon'ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at Nabanna in the last week of August, 2014. The delegation had discussed investment opportunities in Bengal as well as improving trade relations with the state.
