‘Sar Tirtha’ coming up in Krishnanagar
The famed sweets of Krishnanagar, sarbhaja and sarpuria are going to get a place of their own. The proposed ‘Sar Tirtha’ would comprise of a large two-storey building beside national highway 34. The construction of ‘Sar Tirtha’ is almost complete.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had announced the formation of this hub sometime back. This is expected to be very popular as many of the famous makers of the sweet from the region would set up shops there.
Sar Tirtha is being constructed by the Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises Department at a cost of Rs 1.99 crore. Other types of sweets would be available there too.
