Sanskrit research centre in Nabadwip to be inaugurated in 2019

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will be inaugurating a Sanskrit teaching-cum-research centre in Nabadwip in February 2019. It will come under the jurisdiction of Sanskrit University.
The design of the building was conceived by the Mamata Banerjee herself. The construction of the beautiful six-storied red-and-white structure, with an arch-like construction in the front, is almost over.
The vice-chancellor of Sanskrit University has said that since the Chief Minister wishes to turn Nabadwip into a major centre for religious tourism in the country, there is also a plan to set up a museum on the history of the place in the same building.
This will be the second campus of Sanskrit University. The third campus will come up in Rajarhat, for which the government has already allotted land.
