Recruitment process of teachers to be fast-tracked
The Bangla Government is simplifying the process of recruitment of teachers, with the objective of fast-tracking the same. This was announced on June 24 by the State Education Minister.
He assured everyone that the State Government will complete the process of filling up all vacant posts for upper primary teachers by this July.
He also said the government is trying to rationalise the teacher-student ratio by picking up teachers from schools where the number of students is low and placing them in schools where student density is high.
The minister said that the Trinamool Congress Government, since coming to power in 2011, has recruited nearly 60,000 teachers at the primary level, 42,000 teachers at the secondary level and 5,316 teachers at the higher secondary level.
