Newly-elected RS MPs of Trinamool take oath
The newly-elected MPs of All India Trinamool Congress took oath in Rajya Sabha today.
Out of the four MPs, Nadimul Haque has been elected to the Upper House of Parliament for a second term. The rest – Shantanu Sen, Subhashish Chakraborty, Abir Biswas – are first-time MPs.
Nadimul Haque took his oath in Urdu while the others took oath in Bangla.
It may be mentioned, out of 16 Rajya Sabha seats from Bengal, Trinamool has 13 MPs.
শপথ নিলেন তৃণমূলের নবনির্বাচিত চার সাংসদ
আজ রাজ্যসভায় শপথ নিলেন তৃণমূলের নবনির্বাচিত সাংসদরা।
এদের মধ্যে নাদিমুল হক দ্বিতীয় বারের জন্য সাংসদ হিসেবে নির্বাচিত হয়েছেন। বাকি তিনজন – শান্তনু সেন, শুভাশিস চক্রবর্তী, আবির বিশ্বাস – প্রথম বার রাজ্যসভায় পা রাখলেন।
নাদিমুল হক শপথ নিয়েছেন উর্দুতে, বাকিরা বাংলায়। প্রসঙ্গত, পশ্চিমবঙ্গের ১৬টি রাজ্যসভা আসনের মধ্যে ১৩ জন সাংসদই তৃণমূলের।
