New buses between Kolkata & north Bengal ahead of Puja rush
Seven new buses have been added to the fleet strength of the Kolkata-north Bengal route. The new service was inaugurated on October 4 at the Islampur bus depot in Uttar Dinajpur district.
Out of the seven, three are air-conditioned, which will operate between Kolkata and Siliguri. A set of two non-air-conditioned buses will each be running between Kolkata and Raiganj and Kolkata and Balurghat.
In recent times, many buses have been introduced in the north Bengal route, including through a service connecting Kolkata to the district headquarters.
