Nabanna issues instructions for combating storms
After the devastating storms of yesterday in Kolkata and across the southern region of Bengal, the state secretariat, Nabanna has issued instructions for effectively combatingstorms which have been predicted in the next few days.
Quick Response Teams (QRT) of the government have been activated across all needy areas. Government officials have been instructed to provide help wherever necessary.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has asked for reports from the district magistrates of all the affected districts.
Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has announced ex gratia payments for the families of those killed in yesterday’s storm in Kolkata. It will also repair all the houses destroyed by the storm.

প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগ নিয়ে সতর্ক রাজ্য সরকার। রাজ্য প্রশাসনের সদর দপ্তর থেকে রাস্তায় নেমে কাজ করার নির্দেশ দেওয়ার হয়েছে সরকারি কর্মীদের। নবান্নের কন্ট্রোল রুম থেকেও নজরদারির কথা জানানো হয়েছে।
ঝড়ে ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত জেলাগুলির বর্তমান অবস্থা জানতে জেলাশাসকদের কাছে রিপোর্ট তলব করেছেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী।
নবান্নের তরফে কুইক রেসপন্স টিমগুলিকে সতর্ক করা হয়েছে। দুর্যোগের পর সেই সতর্কতা আরও জোরদার করার নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে। নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়েছে রাস্তায় নেমে কাজ করার।
দুর্ঘটনায় মৃতদের পরিবারকে ক্ষতিপূরণ ও যেসব বাড়ি ঘর ক্ষতিগ্রস্ত হয়েছে, সেগুলো সারানোর কথা ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে কলকাতা পুরসভার তরফ থেকে।
