MNCs to groom ITI students in Bengal

Innovative measures to modernize theexisting systems have been a benchmark of the Trinamool Government. Now, tomake the students of the ITIs trained in a better way, the technical educationdepartment of the State will associate itself with the Korean multinationalelectronic giant Samsung.

The MNC will look after the all roundactivities of 5 Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) in the State, right fromadmission to employment. The ITIs are Gariahat, Gariahat (Women), Howrah Homes (Shibpur),Kalyani and Chandannagar (Women.

Samsung will associate itself with counselling,admission, courses and employment of the students in these ITIs. It will alsointroduce contemporary courses for students. The state government is in a dialoguewith a few more such companies that have shown their interests in groomingstate ITI students.
