Mango Festivals in districts from next year
The mango festivals organised by the Bengal Government this year have drawn huge crowds. Buoyed by their success, the Government has decided to organise such mango fests in the districts as well from next year.
This was announced by the Minister of Self-Employment during the inauguration of a three-day Mango Festival in Shyambazar on June 29.
These festivals will have participation from mango farmers, sellers as well as self-help groups that make jam, pickles and other food items with mangoes. Those who are associated with export of mangoes will also be invited.
