Mamata Banerjee to participate in Rath Yatras at Kolkata and Mahesh today
Like every year, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will attend the flagging off ceremony of the Rath Yatra organised by ISKCON in Kolkata today. Later she will go to Mahesh in Hooghly district to participate in the Rath Yatra festivities there.
The ISCKON Kolkata Rath Yatra will begin from Hungerford Street, opposite the ISKCON temple, and end at Brigade Parade Ground, where arrangements have been made for daily special darshan of Lord Jagananth. Special prasad will be distributed at the site till July 12.
The Rath Yatra in Mahesh is reputed to be the second oldest in the world and the oldest one in Bangla.
