Mamata Banerjee receives over 10,000 invites for Durga Puja inauguration
Durga Puja is the biggest festival of Bangla. Like every year, most puja committees in the State, and outside, want Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to grace the inauguration of their puja pandal.
Nabanna has been flooded with requests from puja committees. More than 10,000 requests have already reached the CMO. With less than seven days to go for Durga Puja, the invites are still pouring in. So much so that organisers want Mamata Banerjee to send a letter with her good wishes, if she is unable to grace the inauguration physically.
Apart from Kolkata, these requests have come from Sundarbans in the south to Terai-Dooars in the north of the State. Requests have poured in from Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Bihar and Odisha.
It is amply clear that when it comes to puja inauguration, Mamata Banerjee remains the top favourite of puja committees.
