Mamata Banerjee reacts to seven-day poll schedule in Bengal

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, on Monday, March 11, 2019, addressed reporters at Nabanna. She commented on the Lok Sabha poll schedule.
She said, “Only three states will have polls over seven days and Bangla is one of them. This is because BJP wants to disturb the law and order situation in Bangla.” But she added that they will get a befitting reply as Trinamool will win all the 42 seats in Bangla.
She questioned the wisdom of holding elections for only two seats in the same area in one day but also mentioned that she is happy as it will lessen her workload and there will be more time to campaign in other places and in fact other states.
She informed that journalists have told her that there might be another surgical strike in April.
She said that the party is not bothered about fighting elections in seven phases. But as the weather at that time varies from severe heat to thunderstorms, this will inconvenience general public who will come to vote.
She also informed that there will be a press conference on March 12, 2019 at 3.30 PM where she will make further announcements.
