Mamata Banerjee has fulfilled all her promises: Abhishek Banerjee

Today, Abhishek Banerjee addressed an organisational meeting at Rampur High School Ground, Sonamukhi, Bankura.

Here are some highlights of his speech:

Those who have woman power with them can never be defeated.

The BJP has scared all parties across the country into submission but not Trinamnool Congress.

The MP who had won from here in 2014, spent 90 per cent of his time in Delhi. Over the last two months, he couldn’t dare set foot in Bankura.

Since Trinamool will not re-nominate him, the junior gaddar has gone to the senior gaddar; only those who work will get place in Trinamool.

The candidate may be anyone but the fight is for saving the respect and culture of Bangla. We won’t let them capture even a square inch of land.

The BJP had taught people to dream but then pulled the carpet from under their feet and has destroyed the country. They can’t fight politically, so have taken refuge in religious extremism.

Since I have become an MP, I can only have one religion, and that is humanism.

They destroyed the economy by introducing GST and recklessly increasing the prices of fuels; then reduced prices on facing pressure from the people. They have not done anything for the poor of the country.

Those who can’t fight on the field are now saying things with big mouths.

Today Kanyashree, Sabooj Sathi and Utkarsh Bangla are would-famous. Trinamool Congress has kept its promises. We don’t do dirty politics with economic figures, we don’t just talk big, we do what we say we’ll do.

Whatever Mamata Banerjee said, she has done word for word.

Their weapon is religion and ours is development. Just like water and light are needed to save a tree, riots, religion and fake nationalism are needed to save the BJP. The BJP wants to serve a mix of these to confuse the people during the election season.

Those who were roaming the streets a couple of years back chanting the name of Ram, are now chanting the mantra of nationalism. They have failed with Ram, now they are trying nationalism.

The people would give the right reply to the way the BJP Govt at the Centre fooled them into buying into its misplaced economic policies

We will win all the 42 seats, in however many phases the elections are held

In the coming days, the lotus symbol will be banished.

Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi and Vijay Mallya have looted the people’s money and fled the country. One the other hand, we had hauled Sudipta Sen to prison. This is the difference between us and them.

We have never seen our prime minister sell tea at any railway station. But our chief minister looks after the well-being of 10 crore citizens of Bangla while staying in a tiled hut and wearing chappals. This is the difference between us and them.

Even one week after the announcement of the dates of elections, neither the CPI(M) nor the BJP nor the Congress have been able to announce their candidates.

First learn after the party, only then think about looking after Bangla.

We have to ensure that the BJP, CPI(M) and the Congress don’t win even a single booth

In four years, Rs 7.5 crore of MPLAD funds could not be spent

The twin-flower will trump over the lotus

Those who think they can fool the people are highly mistaken
Our fight is not just against the BJP, it is to save the respect and culture of Bangla

Despite the Centre and the State sharing the money spent on a 50-50 basis, the Centre object to the change of name of the road scheme from Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana to Bangla Grameen Sadak Yojana. They have objections to the name ‘Banglá’’, to its culture. Those who are against the State, the people of the State will never forgive.
