Krishi Karman Award for Bengal for the third time in a row

West Bengal has once again proved to be the best in the nation by bagging the Krishi Karman award from the Central Government third time in a row. The State will be receiving this award for its record production of pulses and other such crops. The area of land under cultivation has also increased in the State.

State Agricultural Minister Mr Purnendu Bose said that the State agricultural department was informed about this a few days back.

The award will be presented to the State at a programme in Delhi on October 14,

A presentation will also be given at New Delhi which consists of the policies which have been adopted by the state to get maximum turnovers. It will also highlight usage of energy, irrigation techniques, manure, and credits etc, which have been adopted to motivate peasants.
