KMC to construct stadium at Talah
Kolkata Municipal Corporation is going to construct a stadium at Talah in north Kolkata. The stadium is going to come up at a cost of Rs 30 crore.
This stadium would form a hub for players from the northern region of the city, as they will get an alternative place to the Maidan to practice games.
Last year, the corporation had created borough-based football teams, and now comes the stadium. KMC officials are expecting the state-of-the-art stadium to be ready within two years.
The detailed project report is ready. There will be a financial arrangement between KMC and the State government too. Tenders for construction companies would be released soon.
