Mamata Banerjee launches Jago Bangla Festive Edition 2018
Chairperson of All India Trinamool Congress, Mamata Banerjee today launched the special festive edition of Jago Bangla at a cultural programme.
Like every year, this year too the cover picture has been created by Mamata Banerjee. The cover article has also been written by her.
The book contains articles on the developmental work that the State Government has been undertaking over the last seven years, articles by other leaders of the party, and also stories and poems by well-known authors.
Excerpts of her speech at the event:
- I convey my thanks to all. I extend my best wishes for the upcoming festive season.
- Jago Bangla is our first paper. It is our dream. It is devoid of any politics or slander.
- We must take the oath that if we cannot make anybody happy, we will not make them sad too.
- It is your duty to maintain peace. Always stay beside the common people.
- We may practice different religions, but when it comes to festivals, we celebrate it together.
