Innovative protest by Trinamool MPs to withdraw Citizenship Amendment Bill
Trinamool Congress MPs from Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha today protested in front of the statue of Mahatma Gandhi inside Parliament premises to withdraw Citizenship Amendment Bill and protect Indian citizens.
The MPs carried out an innovative protest by putting up a ‘street play’ where one MP put on the mask of the Prime Minister. Slogans were raised against the government.
Some of the slogans raised at the dharna were: “Prime Minister ka tanashahi nahin chalega”, “Nagarikta Sansodhan Bill vapas lo” among others.
