Industrial electricity consumption sees rapid growth in Bangla
According to the State Power Department, in the last seven years, there has been a 27.2 per cent surge in the demand for electricity in the industrial sector, while the domestic consumption has gone up by 80.74 per cent. This has led to an exponential rise in the revenue of the department.
This unprecedented growth in the industrial consumption of electricity is the result of the setting up of many commercial units, be it small scale or medium scale. In fact, Bangla is leader in the MSME sector.
The department is also ready with the infrastructure to supply uninterrupted power to more industries in the coming years.
It may be mentioned in this regard that the Bangla Government has been exploring various avenues on producing electricity close to the standards found in European countries. The Power Department is committed to supply the best quality of power possible.
