I request the young talent of Bengal to work for the development of the State – Mamata Banerjee
West Bengal Chief Minister Ms Mamata Banerjee addressed a public gathering at Panchla in Howrah to inform people about different Govt. initiatives taken for the common people in the district.
Excerpts from the Chief Minister`s speech:
“ I have completed a holistic administrative meeting with the various departments in the district of Howrah before coming here. I have taken a complete stock of the situation here. You may say that the Writer`s Building has walked up to you to address your issues. Numerous developmental projects are in place in the district and many more are in the pipe line so that the present and next generations get a better life. We are looking at the development of all, right from the interests of the fishermen, farmers, youth, women, children, SCs, STs and OBCs to sports, education, employment and many more.
238 bus and 600 taxis have been given permits to ply between Howrah and Kolkata. This will facilitate developmental work. This will improve the infrastructure of the district.
Every household will get electricity and drinking water facility. Many new roads are being constructed and old ones are being renovated. A huge sum of money has been sanctioned to carry out these projects.
Within next 5 years all people in the state will have shelter; all districts will get fair price medicine shops. We have already inaugurates district hospital at Howrah. We have inaugurates fair price shop at Uluberia hospital. Udaynarayanpur state general hospital is being upgraded. 15 crore has been sanctioned for the up gradation of Howrah state general hospital. From November fair price diagnostic centers will be started. It has already been implemented in Kolkata. Next we will include insulin in the fair price medicine shops. There are many more initiatives but I have time to mention only a few.
Many Industrial hubs will be created at Howrah itself that will generate employment for 50,000 people. State Govt. is dedicated to better the employment scenario in Bengal. Cold storage is being constructed. All 341 blocks will get ITIs. Mega Power Park and industrial parks are coming up. Many more people will get employed here. There are employment banks, please enroll to avail the facilities provided in this scheme as well.
The local artisans and folk performers are also being provided opportunities to make some extra earning by making them participate in government advertisements.
Kanyashree project will be implemented from October 1st this year for the development of girls. It is for every girl from all communities. No discrimination. Every girl will get education. Every girl will get a job and eventually be independent.
I request the young talent of Bengal to work for the development of the State. It will help them as well as the State.
I only care for Maa, Mati, Manush and if you all live better, I will live better.
