Education receives an impetus at Bengal Global Business Summit 2019
The education sector on Bangla received a great impetus at the Bengal Global Business Summit 2019. Premier institutes of the State signed MoUs with foreign universities and research institutes on the second day of the summit.
1. University of Calcutta signs MoU with:
- South Asia Institute, School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, UK for South Asian Studies
- Leeds Business School, Leeds Beckett University, UK for business management
- University of Strathclyde, UK for urban development
- University of Maryland, College Park, USA for mathematics and statistics
- State University New York, Buffalo (SUNY Buffalo), USA for quantum computing
- Concordia University, Canada for mathematics and statistics
- Yamaguchi University, Japan for economics and business management
- ASEAN Studies Centre, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand for South-East Asian Studies
- Asia Centre of Malaysia and Thailand for social sciences and international relations
- Statement of intent signed with California State University, Sacramento, USA for Asian Studies
2. Jadavpur University signs MoU with Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice, Upper Silesia, Poland
3. Presidency University signs MoU with a trustee of Indiana University, USA on behalf of Indiana Center for Regenerative Medicine and Engineering
4. Netaji Institute for Asian Studies signs MoU with Warsaw University, Poland
