CM asks MPs to donate 1 Crore from MPLAD Scheme for developing health sector

Kolkata, July 18: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has requested the MP’s of the state to donate 1 Crore from their local area development funds for the infrastructural development of the health sector of West Bengal. The CM’s request was conveyed by the Chief State Secretary Samar Ghosh during his meeting with the MP’s at the Writers Building on Friday.

The MPLADS have recently increased from 2 crore to 5 crore. This request of the CM was welcomed by MP’s like Kakoli Ghosh Dostidar, who is also a member Parliament Standing Committee for the MPLADS. The fund will be used for the development of the district hospitals. This step of the Chief Minister is really very thoughtful to bring about improvement of the deployed health sector of the state.
