Cancer Centre to start at Medical College and Hospital
A Cancer Centre is going to soon start at Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, for which the State Health Department has allotted Rs 42 crore.
A seven-storied building is going to be constructed on the hospital campus for the purpose. The centre will have all the latest equipments for the detection and treatment of cancer, including operating and chemotherapy set-ups. There will be an outdoor department as well.
The planning for the centre is in its final stages.

কলকাতা মেডিক্যাল কলেজ ও হাসপাতালে চালু হচ্ছে ক্যান্সার বিভাগ। এই নতুন প্রকল্পের জন্য রাজ্যে স্বাস্থ্য দপ্তর বরাদ্দ করেছে ৪২কোটি টাকা।
এই হাসপাতাল চত্ত্বরেই হবে ক্যান্সার কেন্দ্রের জন্য সাততলা বাড়ি। এই কেন্দ্রে অত্যাধুনিক সমস্ত যন্ত্রপাতি থাকবে যা ক্যান্সারের চিকিৎসার জন্য দরকার।
এখানে আলাদা আউটডোর বিভাগ থাকবে। এছাড়াও ক্যান্সারের বিভিন্ন পরীক্ষার জন্য থাকবে আলাদা আলাদা ঘর। এই নতুন বাড়িতে থাকবে অপারেশন থিয়েটার। এখানে থাকবে ‘রে’ দেওয়ার ঘর।
