Business over Rs 3 crore at Ahare Bangla this year
Ahare Bangla sales have increased by almost Rs 1.13 crore this year. Last year, the amount of sales was about Rs 2 crore. This year sales have crossed Rs 3 crore. Organisers are happy with the development. November 24 was the last day of Ahare Bangla 2019. This year, food vendors and restaurants were awarded for their sales figures and innovative food items.
Ahare Bangla was organised at Bidhannagar Central Park from November 19, 2019 this year. Previously this food festival was organised at New Town Milan Mela Prangan. This time there were 152 food stalls in the festival.
The Department of Animal Husbandry organised the festival, with the help of other departments of the State. Prizes were distributed under various categories to encourage sellers. Behaviour with customers, amount of sales were the main focus of these prizes. Awards were given by minister in-charge of the department.
