Bengal No.1 in the country in ‘Ease of doing business’
Bengal continues to be No.1 in the country in ‘Ease of doing business’, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee wrote on Facebook today.
As per the latest announcement of the Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Government of India, Bengal is far ahead of the so-called industry-friendly States.
“It is all due to our regular and extensive monitoring, right from the grassroot level to the state secretariat level, to ensure that projects are implemented on time with minimum hassle. We have to keep this up,” the CM wrote.

সমস্ত তথাকথিত শিল্প-বান্ধব রাজ্যকে পিছনে ফেলে আবারও শিল্প গড়ার সুবিধায় প্রথম স্থান অধিকার করল পশ্চিমবঙ্গ। ভারত সরকারের ইন্ডাস্ট্রিয়াল পলিসি অ্যান্ড প্রোমোশান দপ্তরের সাম্প্রতিক ঘোষণায় এই তথ্য উঠে এসেছে।
তৃণমূল স্তর থেকে শুরু করে সচিবালয় পর্যন্ত নিয়মিত প্রশাসনিক বৈঠক করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী, জেলায় জেলায় কাজের অগ্রগতি দেখার জন্য। এই বৈঠকগুলির ফল হাতেনাতে মিলেছে। একদিকে গ্রামীণ সড়ক নির্মাণ থেকে শুরু করে ১০০ দিনের কাজে যেমন এক নম্বরে বাংলা, তেমনই শিল্প গড়ার সুবিধাতেও বাংলার জয়জয়কার।
এক সময়, পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বাম সরকারের শিল্প বিমুখ রাজনীতির জন্য যার সারা দেশ তথা পৃথিবীতে পরিচিতি ছিল শিল্পবিরোধী রাজ্য হিসেবে। ২০১১য় ক্ষমতায় আসার পর থেকে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়ের নেতৃত্বে তৃণমূল সরকারের ঐকান্তিক প্রচেষ্টাতেই পরিবর্তন সম্ভব হয়েছে।
