Bengal Govt launches ‘Meat on Wheelz’
West Bengal Livestock Development Corporation Limited (WBLDCL) launched a specially-designed vehicle on Monday – ‘Meat on Wheelz’ — where the customers can get access to mouth-watering delicacies of different ready to eat snacks at their doorsteps.
WBLDCL’s brand Haringhta Meat has been a popular choice for non-vegetarians. Now, the state government undertaking organisation wants to reach maximum number of the non-vegetarians of the city and its suburbs. Frozen packaged items of Haringhta Meat will also be available there.
This vehicle will travel through the areas of South Kolkata — Dakshinapan, Dhakuria, Gariahat and other important places with a whole range of ready to eat and frozen packaged Haringhata Meat items.
Three other such vehicles would soon be launched for New Town, Lake Town-Bangur-Kestopur-Baguiati — places are adjacent to the VIP Road and BBD Bagh and areas adjacent to High Court and old Kolkata’s office places.
‘মিট ওন হুইলস‘ – ভ্রাম্যমান গাড়িতে মাংস বিক্রি করবে রাজ্য সরকার
সোমবার ‘মিট অন হুইলস’ নামক একটি গাড়ি চালু করল পশ্চিমবঙ্গ প্রাণিসম্পদ উন্নয়ন নিগম। সোমবার থেকেই কলকাতার বিধাননগর ও নিউ টাউনের বিভিন্ন রাস্তায় চালু হল এই গাড়ি।
পাঁচ–ছয় রকমের মাংসের রেশমি–টিক্কা কাবাব, কাটলেট, রোল এবং স্যান্ডউইচ–সহ নানান পদ পাওয়া যাবে এখানে। মুরগি, হাঁস, কোয়েল, টার্কি, বনরাজা, ছাগল ও ভেড়ার মাংসের নানা পদও থাকবে এই গাড়িতে।
এ ছাড়াও এই গাড়িগুলি থেকে বাড়িতে রান্নার জন্য কাঁচা মাংসও সংগ্রহ করতে পারবেন ক্রেতারা। হরিণঘাটা মাংস প্রক্রিয়াকরণ কেন্দ্রের উদ্যোগকে রাজ্যের জেলায় জেলায় ছড়িয়ে দিতেই নিগমের এই উদ্যোগ বলে জানা গেছে। ইতিমধ্যেই রাজ্যের বিভিন্ন জেলায় এই কেন্দ্রের ১৯২টি দোকান খোলা হয়েছে। ক্রেতাদের কাছে বেশ জনপ্রিয় হয়েছে মাংসের নানা পদ।
আপাতত শহরে এই ধরনের চারটি গাড়ি চলবে। একটি গাড়ি চলবে দক্ষিণাপণ-ঢাকুরিয়া-গড়িয়াহাট–গোলপার্ক রুটে। বাকি তিনটি গাড়ি চলবে ধর্মতলা–বিবাদী বাগ, বিধাননগর–নিউ টাউন এবং উল্টোডাঙা–লেক টাউন রুটে।
