Bengal Govt has invested Rs 1,372 Cr for green city project
The Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Minister announced in the Assembly on July 25 that, so far, the Government has invested Rs 1,372 crore for green city projects.
Giving a rough break-up, the minister said that during financial year 2016-17, Rs 449 crore was invested for 334 projects, during 2017-18, Rs 713 crore was spent on 1,798 projects and so far in the current fiscal, around Rs 198 crore was spent on 293 projects.
The green city project will be of great benefit for common people. The project includes things like plantation of trees, preservation of water resources, promotion of electric vehicles, installation of LED lights and ensuring CCTV coverage of places.
