Bangla Govt wins Skoch Award for its ‘Waiting Huts’ project

The State Health and Family Welfare Department has won the prestigious Skoch Award in the ‘Governance Gold’ category for its project, ‘Waiting Huts for pregnant women’.
This was announced by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today through a post on her Facebook page. The award was conferred in New Delhi yesterday, that is, August 29.
“I am very happy and proud to share a wonderful development. Bangla ‘s Health & Family Welfare Department has won the Skoch Award (Governance Gold category) for its project on ‘Waiting huts for pregnant women’ “, she wrote.
She congratulated the department and everyone concerned with the project.
She also wrote about the fact that the Utkarsh Bangla project had won an award in the ‘Skill Gold’ category last year and that Bangla had “won the highest number of Skoch Awards for good performances in various areas in 2018.”
In fact, the Trinamool Congress-led Bangla Government has a good record of winning several Skoch Awards in the past few years, proving its mettle in bringing development to every corner of the State.
Skoch Awards are the highest independently instituted civilian honours in India.
