Bangla Govt to set up solar power plant in Raniganj
The Bangla Government, at its cabinet meeting on Friday, November 30, approved of the decision to set up a 10 megawatt (MW) solar power generation plant in Raniganj in Paschim Bardhaman district.
The plant will come up on a plot of around 52 acres, thus making it the biggest plant in terms of area. This is part of the government’s move popularise the use of environment-friendly non-conventional forms of energy.
It may be mentioned that the government has also decided to set up a 10MW solar power plant at Salboni in Paschim Medinipur district, on a plot of 41.11 acres.
